Meet Oliver
Shortly after my honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, where I proudly served, I met my future wife, Ann. Together, we chose Pleasant Hill as our home, a decision that has shaped our lives in the most positive ways. I pursued higher education at Diablo Valley College, then transferred to UC Berkeley, and ultimately completed my law degree at Golden Gate Law School.
Ann and I have raised our three wonderful children, Olivia, Gus, and Lex, all of whom attended Pleasant Hill schools. Our family is deeply rooted in this community, and we cherish the values and opportunities it offers. I live in Pleasant Hill and own a small business here, which has further strengthened my connection to our vibrant local economy.
My commitment to Pleasant Hill extends beyond my professional life. I am an active volunteer, dedicating my time to various community initiatives. For the past five years, I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the Pleasant Hill Baseball Association, including a tenure as the Head Commissioner--those that have read my emails for years know that I am struggling to write this and not entertain myself, oh, I just wrote that, so close. This role has allowed me to support and mentor our youth, fostering a spirit of teamwork and community involvement.
As your councilmember, I will bring the same dedication and passion to my role in public service. My priorities will include:
- Strengthening Local Businesses: Supporting small businesses to ensure they thrive, creating a robust and resilient local economy.
- Enhancing Public Safety: Working closely with law enforcement to maintain and improve the safety and security of our neighborhoods.
- Investing in Education: Advocating for quality education and resources for our schools, ensuring our children receive the best possible start in life.
- Promoting Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation in community events and decision-making processes, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
I am committed to preserving the qualities that make Pleasant Hill a great place to live while addressing the challenges we face with integrity and transparency. Together, we can build a brighter future for our community.
